Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa is Sanskriet of which translation can not easily be made. Vinyasa Yoga is a dynamic form of yoga and its emphasis is on creating smooth, fluid transitions between asanas (postures). Each movement is supported by the breathing. As a result, almost a continuous flow of movement is created, synchronized with the breathing. Because the poses and transitions are made with special attention, the classes have a meditative effect: there's space to focus inward, experience what you feel and move in a way that feels right for you at that moment. To a fun way you're also invited to get out of your comfort zone. With the above explanation, perhaps the best translation for Vinyasa Yoga is 'to move in a special way'.

The classes can have both a calming and energizing character. They always end with soothing postures retained for longer, and a final relaxation in Savasana (Corpse pose) as a cherry on top. Vinyasa Yoga can be combined with both Hatha Yoga, Dru Yoga, Yin Yoga and Yin Yang Yoga.
